I am a fourth-year student at the University of Georgia studying Health Promotion with an emphasis in Behavioral Medicine. I am also minoring in Biomedical Physiology and working towards my MPH in Health Policy and Management through the Double Dawgs program at UGA. As a public health student, my main interests are rural health and chronic disease prevention. Additionally, I’m passionate about rural community development because community development is directly tied to the health outcomes of rural populations.
After graduation, my goal is to attend medical school and then work as a physician and public health professional. As a future physician, I hope to increase access to high quality medical care for rural and underserved communities by utilizing the skills and experiences I have gained from my public health background.
