This week I am continuing to work on the CDTM literature review. Today, I specifically began looking into some of the particular questions that were asked in the surveys, focus, groups, and interviews in the articles that I have already identified. The goal of this is to see what types of questions were asked that could help guide the development of our own surveys we will be implementing in the future or whether there are already existing measures that successfully capture the data of interest. When looking at questions regarding physicians perceptions of CDTM, survey questions were commonly grouped into themes such as their views and attitudes towards collaborative practice, existing knowledge of CDTM or lack of, and the importance of various qualifications of pharmacists for establishing a collaborative practice agreement. The surveys most commonly used likert scales to measure these constructs. Some of the relevant questions to our project that could be helpful were pulled directly from the studies and organized into a document that will be shared with the project lead. Overall, analyzing the questions used to assess perceptions towards CDTM provides helpful information to build on top of in our study, and they can be refined to our specific population of interest.
