My time today focused on continuing to analyze survey results and then creating graphs and charts to present the data after analysis was complete. Once all the survey responses had been quantified, the results needed to be presented in a clear and concise way so that they could be distributed back to the community. Knowing the best methods for creating charts and graphics is an important skill for disseminating information to communities. If the key findings are not presented in a way that is easily understood or could be misrepresented, then the trust of the community members could be compromised. Microsoft excel was used to create the graphs, and a variety of graphs were used including bar graphs and pie charts. The bar graphs were particularly useful for visualizing information for the most common responses in a question, while the pie charts were helpful for representing the demographic make-up of the survey population. After the graphs were created, a report was prepared to deliver to the community.
