Today, my task was to analyze data from interviews and surveys from listening sessions with a new Archway community. The purpose of these listening sessions is to find out what issues are most relevant to community members, and they provide a starting point and direction for future discussions. The surveys include questions such as what three words would you use to describe your community, what are the top assets in your community, and what are the most pressing issues in your community. The majority of the questions were qualitative, so the results had to be categorized and quantified before analysis. Responses were grouped and there were many common themes that emerged. Results were also sorted for the first question based on positive and negative responses, and it was found that 2/3 of respondents used words with positive connotations to describe their community. Additionally, responses were sorted based upon frequency and popularity.
