Today, I primarily spent time researching potential community engagement grants for Archway communities to apply for. While the University does provide direct support and resources to Archway communities, many of their projects are funded by grants, so researching and applying for grants is an important part in carrying out successful projects. Specifically, I am researching grants that support community health projects and initiatives that aim to improve health outcomes for target populations. Because many Archway communities are rural or underserved, they often have great ideas about projects to improve the health of their communities, but they may not have the resources to see it become a reality. That is why it is important to help them secure funding for their initiatives.
